Climbing plant with meaningful flowers

The passionflower grows and climbs very quickly from a young age, is easy to care for, and delights with its exotic blossoms. It owes its name to the Christian interpretation of its flowers and leaves. In the center of the flower are five stamens and three stigmas, which clearly rise above the bluish, deeply lobed petals. In Christianity, the stamens were interpreted as wounds, the stigmas as nails, and the petals as a halo, which led to the name passionflower. Passiflora caerulea is excellent for growing in pots and containers and, in areas with mild frosts, is even suitable for planting directly in the garden.

Natural Habitat: The passionflower's natural habitat is found in Central America and western South America.
