Fragrant noble fir from the highlands of the western Caucasus

The Nordmann fir develops a straight trunk, reaching a height of up to 25 meters and a width of up to eight meters. It grows in a pyramidal shape with a symmetrical crown. On average, it grows 25 centimeters in height and 15 centimeters in width annually. Even in old age, its widely spreading branches reach the ground, and its needles emit a pleasantly resinous, fresh scent. Its cones change color from green to dark brown over time and stand upright on the branches.
Natural habitat: The Nordmann fir, also known as the Caucasian fir, is native to the western Caucasus Mountains. There, it grows on loamy soils at altitudes of 1,000 to 2,000 meters.
