In the Gold Rush - Fine texture with a nutty taste

Gold Rush is a golden-yellow, cylindrical zucchini with an excellent texture and a superb, nutty flavor. It grows quickly and is easy to harvest thanks to its upright, open growth habit. Zucchini taste best when they are 10 to 20 centimeters long. The fruits are low in calories and rich in vitamins. They are also very easy to digest.

Origin:  Zucchini are native to Europe and were developed from the garden squash. The original varieties originated in Italy at the end of the 17th century.

Culinary Use:  Regular harvesting encourages the development of new blossoms, which in turn produce fruit. Do not leave the fruit on the plant, as this reduces the yield. To harvest, simply cut the zucchini off with a knife. Zucchini can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 14 days. They are not suitable for freezing, as they will lose their firmness and become soft and watery. Zucchini are delicious raw in salads, steamed as sticks or slices, and also briefly fried in a pan. They make a good soup and are popular stuffed with ground meat, couscous, mushrooms, or rice. The large zucchini blossoms are a particular delicacy.
