The evergreen Devil's Beak is a slow-growing climbing shrub with attractively pinnate, oval, and velvety leaves. Its trademark is its striking, long-stalked, upright petals, which can reach up to eight centimeters in length. The characteristic black spot is located in the center of the bright, lacquer-red, beak-like flowers. With a support, the Devil's Beak can be successfully grown in a container and will enrich your balcony or garden with its exotic blooms throughout the summer.

Natural habitat: The Devil's Beak grows in the dry interior of Australia and in northern South Australia and is considered the national flower of South Australia.
