The ghost plant is a fast-growing climbing plant that, with its relatively low light requirements, is also very well suited for indoor cultivation. Its hallmarks are heart-shaped leaves and enormous violet-brown-white flowers. It also possesses a sophisticated pollination mechanism, first luring insects into the flower's interior with fragrances and then releasing them through a hairy corolla tube, where the insects collect pollen on their wings.

Natural habitat: The ghost plant's natural range is in South and Central America.
