To the glory of the dandelion, there is the dandelion clock

Every child knows the plant, which grows up to 30 centimeters tall, and its characteristic, dandelion-like leaves. In spring, the bright yellow blossoms add a vibrant splash of color to your garden, and later, the dandelion leaves behind numerous parachute-like seeds, transforming into a "blowball." While dandelions are common, they shouldn't be gathered from just anywhere due to environmental concerns. Therefore, cultivating your own is highly recommended. Benefits: Rich in rare bitter compounds, the dandelion is one of the best-known wild herbs and is considered a medicinal herb for liver and gallbladder ailments. To prepare dandelion tea (250 ml), pour boiling water over one to two heaped teaspoons of dried dandelion leaves and roots and let it steep for about 10 minutes. After straining the tea, drink small sips at intervals of about two minutes, and no more than three cups per day. Dandelions can also be used in many delicious dishes. The young leaves are excellent as a slightly bitter base for a wild herb salad, as a vegetable, or as a base for wild herb pesto. Combine a few handfuls of blossoms, lemon, water, and... Gelling sugar can also easily be used to make a flavorful jam.

Natural habitat: The dandelion originates from West Asia. It is only found sporadically in the Southern Hemisphere.
