A light lemon scent - ideal for flavoring tea

The undemanding, hardy, and lemon-scented bee balm is certainly one of the most beautiful medicinal plants. In mild climates, its red, whorled flower heads bring color to the midsummer garden from late June until September. All parts of the plant (flowers, leaves, and stems) have an aromatic lemon fragrance due to their high content of essential oils and thymol.

Natural habitat: Bee balm originates from North America and is found primarily in moist woodlands in the eastern United States.
