Ground ivy is an old medicinal plant that has been unjustly largely forgotten. When the leaves are crushed, the spicy, slightly minty scent of the essential oil is released. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used both internally and externally. The tannins and bitter substances it contains stimulate digestion and metabolism. The plant can grow up to 30 centimeters tall and spreads via runners. Its flowering period extends from March until early autumn. 

Natural habitat: Ground ivy grows wild at forest edges, along forest paths, and also in meadows.
