Fern-like pinnate leaves and sky-blue blossoms are the distinctive features of the jacaranda. Even before the leaves emerge, the lavender-blue, bell-shaped flowers, up to 5 cm in diameter, develop on panicles reaching up to 20 cm in height and emit a delicate, honey-like fragrance. As a non-hardy tree, the jacaranda is well-suited to growing in pots and containers.

Natural habitat: This subtropical rosewood tree originates from South America, specifically the highlands of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. Today, it is cultivated worldwide as an ornamental tree in regions with year-round warmth. In Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, also known as the Jacaranda City, 60,000 jacaranda trees adorn the streets and avenues.
