Succulent with palm fronds

The Madagascar palm isn't actually related to palm trees at all, as it belongs to the group of water-storing succulents. Its columnar, cylindrical, and spiny water reservoir resembles a thick trunk, at the end of which the rosettes of leaves unfold, resembling a palm frond. Pretty white flowers appear when the plant is older, around ten years old. The Madagascar palm makes a good houseplant and can reach a height of up to one meter.

Natural habitat: This succulent is native to the arid regions of South Africa and Madagascar.
