A magnificent little tree, prized for its attractive, butterfly-wing-like leaves and numerous fragrant blossoms, making it a beautiful addition to any container. In late spring, the orchid tree is covered in five-petaled, pink flowers that can reach 10 centimeters in diameter. Since the flowers appear at the same time as the new growth, the entire tree is initially dominated by blossoms before the foliage begins to take shape. It tolerates pruning well, making the Bauhinia a good choice for container planting.
