Genuine Tiger's Jaw

A pretty flowering little succulent from South Africa!

The true tiger's jaw develops fleshy leaves with soft spines along their edges. The characteristic of its toothed leaf pairs growing away from each other gives the Faucaria the appearance of a tiger's gaping jaws. However, the tiger's jaw remains quite small, reaching a manageable height of eight to ten centimeters. It displays its bright yellow flowers in August and September, opening on sunny afternoons and closing again in the evening.

Natural habitat: The tiger's jaw originates from the semi-deserts of South Africa.
