The Caucasian leopard's bane is a hardy perennial that adds splashes of color to the garden with its bright yellow, daisy-like flowers as early as March/April. 
It grows to about 30 to 50 cm tall and forms loose clumps with heart-shaped, slightly hairy leaves. Its flowers open with the first warm rays of sunshine and act like little suncatchers. Traditionally, it is planted in rock gardens, where it looks particularly striking among rocks and pebbles.

Natural habitat: The Caucasian leopard's bane originally comes from the mountainous regions of the Caucasus and Asia Minor, where it grows in humus-rich, well-drained soils in light woodlands or on sunny slopes. Today, it is a popular and robust spring-flowering plant in many European gardens.
