With its dense, carpet-like cushions and countless violet, pink, or white blossoms, this compact, cushion-forming perennial transforms any sunny spot into a sea of ​​color. 
Aubrieta only grows to a height of 5 to 15 cm, but readily spreads up to 50 cm. It is perfect for greening walls, stones, or dry stone walls. 
Its flowers are small, but they appear as early as March and often last until May. 
Aubrieta is traditionally planted in rock gardens, where it looks particularly striking among rocks and pebbles.

Natural habitat: Aubrieta originally comes from the mountainous regions of southern and central Europe, where it grows on sunny rocky slopes and in stony soils. Today, it is widespread in many gardens as a robust ornamental plant and thrives especially well in alpine locations.
