Candytuft is an evergreen dwarf shrub that spreads like a dense, low-growing cushion, reaching a height of about 15 to 30 cm. From April to June, its delicate leaves are completely covered with snow-white, luminous flower clusters arranged in dense, flat umbels. Each individual flower is tiny, yet their abundance creates a breathtaking visual effect. Candytuft is prized for its absolute reliability and its compact, low-maintenance growth habit. For generations, its hardiness has made it a favorite classic for rock gardens and border plantings. It becomes more lush and extensive with each passing year.

Natural habitat: Candytuft originates from the mountainous regions of Southern Europe and the eastern Mediterranean, where it thrives on rocky slopes and in calcareous soils.
