Chinese silver grass (Miscanthus sinensis) is one of the largest species in the grass family (Poaceae), forming dense clumps and reaching a height of one to two meters. Its most striking feature is its eye-catching inflorescence with silvery, feathery flower spikes, which appear from August until late autumn. With its arching stems and large flower spikes, it is particularly decorative as a solitary plant. Chinese silver grass also becomes more beautiful with age. Its natural habitat is in East Asia
