Easy-care quaking grass is a particularly delicate grass for sunny gardens. Its thin, smooth stems only reach 25 centimeters in height, but from May to August they produce 40-centimeter-long shoots with delicate, reddish-purple, heart-shaped seed heads that tremble gracefully in the slightest breeze. And when the seed heads slowly wither at the end of August, they can still be used beautifully in vases and dried flower arrangements. This way, you can bring the cheerful atmosphere of quaking grass indoors for months to come. Quaking grass can also be grown as a solitary plant in a small container.
Natural habitat: Quaking grass is found throughout Europe and temperate Asia, from lowlands to mountains. In Germany, it is the only quaking grass species native to the region.
